What is a dynamic FoodPairing tree?

A dynamic FoodPairing tree is an interactive visualisation of some of the pairings you can make with a selected central product. For example this is the dynamic tree of Basil.

Basil is in the middle. All around you have ingredients you can combine with this central ingredient.

The ingredients are clustered in categories. Like dairy, meat,...

The FoodPairing trees are dynamic, which means they are interactive. You can click on the (+) to see which category it is.

You can unfold the categories to see more ingredients;

You can have more information about the product by clicking on the (i) in the popup.

Why are there different lengths?

The closer to the center the ingredient is, the better the match. But they all do combine. E.g. Black tea is closer than Grey Goose L'Orange, so it matches better, but maybe you don't like Black tea. This is stil an inspiration tool. We are sure the pairings we suggest works, but how much of each ingredient you have to use, is up to you. This tool doesn't replace a chef, bartenders,... it INSPIRES
